Restoration bricklayer — Udung Uko

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Udung Uko, Akwa Ibom State. The role involves: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
