We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Humboldt County, Iowa. The job is at a renovation and extension job. You will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Six days a week, one day off.
