The role involves purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant. Ideal candidate: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours.
