Meat cutter wanted in City of Petersburg

Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat cutter in City of Petersburg, Virginia. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. On the job you will handle: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
