Great opportunity: bakery assistant (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Somerset, England. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Your main tasks: • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Score the top of loaves before baking • Rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • 2+ years' experience as a baker At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
