Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Baker County, Florida. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height On the job you will handle: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Six days a week, one day off.
