Brick and block layer • Ondo West, Ondo State

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ondo West, Ondo State. The job is on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
