Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stitching operator in City and County of San Francisco, California. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens The role involves set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go. We offer $24 per hour plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
