Now hiring: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Zaria, Kaduna State. The role involves: • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers You should have: • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection 2+ years on the tools preferred.
