Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Walthall County, Mississippi. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles You will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position.
