Blocklayer — Howard County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Howard County, Arkansas. The job is at a renovation and extension job. On a typical shift you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
