Bench joiner • Pottawatomie County, Kansas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a bench joiner in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. You will be based at a kitchen and furniture manufacturer. Day-to-day duties: • Fix studwork and plasterboard partitions • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet Ideal candidate: • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Own basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
