Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Buena Vista County, Iowa. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard You will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
