Fabricator-welder wanted in McHenry County

Join our team: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in McHenry County, Illinois. The job is at an automobile body shop. Day-to-day duties: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc You should have: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
