Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Grand County, Utah. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards We offer $150 per day plus benefits. Full-time, day shift.
