Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day to day you will clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run.
