Garment machinist • Winneshiek County, Iowa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Winneshiek County, Iowa. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $29 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
