Now hiring: panel welder (Louisiana)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a panel welder in Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Your main tasks: • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 5+ years on the tools preferred.
