Great opportunity: we are hiring a smash repairer in Wayne County, Illinois. The job is at a paint and panel shop. The role involves: • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench Full-time with occasional weekends.
