Urgent requirement: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Dawson County, Texas. You will work at a busy lift company. The role involves: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays Requirements: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Valid driving licence for site call-outs 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
