Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Richland County, Illinois. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves carry out 6G pipe welds where required; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Rotating shifts.
