Foundry labourer — Bath County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Bath County, Kentucky. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day-to-day duties: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
