Visual inspection operator • City of Suffolk, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a visual inspection operator in City of Suffolk, Virginia. The job is at a food processing unit. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating and night shifts • Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T symbols On the job you will handle: • Draw samples from batches according to AQL sampling plans • Record measurements on inspection sheets and SPC charts • Segregate and quarantine defective or out-of-tolerance items • Operate height gauges, profile projectors and coordinate measuring tools • Check packaging, labelling and barcode accuracy before dispatch • Inspect welds, paint finish and surface defects under inspection lighting At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
