Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Swain County, North Carolina. You will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
