Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Sebastian County, Arkansas. On the job you will handle: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
