We are recruiting: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Hertford County, North Carolina. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
