Groundworker — City of Newport News

We are recruiting: we are hiring a groundworker in City of Newport News, Virginia. You will be based on a metro and infrastructure project. The role involves: • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations Ideal candidate: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
