Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Roanoke County, Virginia. Your main tasks: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
