Join our team: we are hiring a safety officer in Rowan County, Kentucky. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. On the job you will handle: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Rotating shifts.
