Sheet metal welder — Montgomery County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Montgomery County, Alabama. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 1+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
