Now hiring: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. Requirements: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration On the job you will handle: • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints • Complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
