Join our team: vertical milling machine operator (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Presidio County, Texas. You will be based at an automotive components factory. What we are looking for: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Part-time with flexible hours.
