Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Lassen County, California. The job is on a housing development site. Requirements: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Your main tasks: • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
