Rough terrain crane operator — City and Borough of Wrangell

Join our team: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will be based in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. On the job you will handle: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams Requirements: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • A good head for heights for tower crane work Full-time, day shift.
