Lathe programmer-operator • Grant County, New Mexico

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Grant County, New Mexico. You will work at a busy machine shop. The role involves: • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
