Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Benton County, Iowa. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements The role involves conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors.
