Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Fayette County, Illinois. You will be based on a busy housing site. Day-to-day duties: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
