Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Poweshiek County, Iowa. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. Requirements: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time with occasional weekends.
