Overlocker operator wanted in Borough of Tameside

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Borough of Tameside, England. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day to day you will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around £2,800 per month, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
