Great opportunity: core maker (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Bland County, Virginia. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. The role involves: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 4+ years on the tools preferred.
