Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level On the job you will handle: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Full-time, day shift.
