Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Knox County, Illinois. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves: • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls 5+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
