Single needle operator — Chautauqua County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a single needle operator in Chautauqua County, Kansas. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day to day you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance.
