Vacancy available: milling machinist (South Dakota)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a milling machinist in Brule County, South Dakota. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. The role involves: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges Ideal candidate: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces 6+ years on the tools preferred.
