Foundry worker — Richmond County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Richmond County, Georgia. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Your main tasks: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Overtime paid at a premium rate.
