Join our team: aluminium TIG welder (West Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Hardy County, West Virginia. The job is on a structural steel site. You should have: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
