Foundry operative — Roanoke County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Roanoke County, Virginia. You will be based on the moulding line. Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
