Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tig welder in Calaveras County, California. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run.
