Rigging foreman • Peterborough, England

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Peterborough, England. You will be based at a container port. Your main tasks: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
