Blocklayer — Meade County

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Meade County, Kansas. You will work on a new-build development. Day-to-day duties: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
